On Thursday, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine hosted a meeting on preparing the draft law No. 2980 of Ukraine "On civil service" for consideration in second reading set for November 26.
Participating in the meeting were representatives of parliamentary factions and groups, chairperson of the Committee on State Building, Regional Policy and Local Self-Government Serhii Vlasenko, chairperson of Subcommittee for issues of civil service and service in bodies of local self-government Alyona Shkrum, people's deputies, representatives of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine and the Government, experts.
The meeting addressed conceptual provisions of the draft law finalized for the second reading and major stipulations. The meeting yielded a resolution to support the legislative act and a recommendation that it should take effect on March 1, 2016.
